How I Help Colorado Families

Straightforward guidance on the coverage decisions that matter most.

🏥

Medicare Parts A, B, C & D

Confused about which parts you need and when to enroll? I’ll walk you through every option — Original Medicare, supplements, and drug coverage — so you don’t miss a deadline or pay a penalty.

🛡️

Medicare Supplement (Medigap)

Original Medicare leaves gaps. A Medigap plan covers those out-of-pocket costs so you know exactly what you’ll pay — and what you won’t. I’ll help you find the right plan at the best price.

💊

Prescription Drug Plans (Part D)

The wrong drug plan can cost you thousands. I compare plans side-by-side based on your actual medications so you pay less at the pharmacy — guaranteed.

❤️

Life Insurance

Whether it’s protecting your spouse, covering final expenses, or leaving a legacy — I’ll find the right policy without the pressure. Term, whole, or guaranteed issue options available.

📈

Annuities

Want guaranteed income you can’t outlive? Annuities can provide a predictable paycheck in retirement. I’ll show you the options and cut through the complexity.

🏦

Social Security

When should you file? How do spousal benefits work? Claiming at the right time can mean tens of thousands of dollars over your lifetime. Let’s get the timing right together.

Questions I Hear Every Day

When do I need to enroll in Medicare? Will I be penalized if I miss the deadline?

Most people need to enroll in Medicare during the 7-month Initial Enrollment Period that starts 3 months before their 65th birthday. Miss it without a valid Special Enrollment Period and you can face lifetime premium penalties — 10% added to Part B for every 12-month period you were late. The rules are confusing, especially if you’re still working at 65. Let’s look at your exact situation before you make a move.

What’s the difference between Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage?

Original Medicare (Parts A & B) is the federal program — nationwide coverage with any doctor who accepts Medicare. Medicare Advantage (Part C) is a private plan that bundles everything together, often with extra benefits like dental and vision. The right choice depends on your health, your doctors, and where you live. There’s no universal “better” option — it’s personal.

How much does Medicare Part B cost? Why is my premium different from my neighbor’s?

The standard Part B premium in 2026 is $202.90/mo — but if your income was above a certain threshold two years ago, you’ll pay more (called IRMAA surcharges). A married couple with higher income can pay $300–$600/month more than they expected. I help people plan for this and, in some cases, appeal the surcharge if your income has dropped since then.

When should I start taking Social Security?

You can claim as early as 62, but every month you wait (up to age 70) your benefit grows. Waiting from 62 to 70 can increase your monthly check by 75%+. The right time depends on your health, your spouse’s situation, and whether you have other income. This is one of the most important financial decisions you’ll make — and most people get it wrong by rushing.

Do I really need a Medicare broker? Can’t I just call Medicare directly?

You can call 1-800-MEDICARE — but they won’t compare plans for you, recommend a specific drug plan, or help you understand how your situation affects your options. A licensed broker like me does all of that, and my service costs you nothing. Carriers pay me directly. You get a real expert in your corner without paying a dime more than going direct.
